McCreary County, Kentucky: The 1,000 Pound Challenge
Pastor Grant and his congregation at First Baptist Church Whitley City host about 2,500 trick-or-treaters at their annual “Trunk of Treats” event. Trunk of Treats is an evening of free food, games, prizes, magic shows, and more hosted for a community of 70% unchurched people. Hundreds and hundreds of new faces from this impoverished area visit the church each year for Trunk of Treats. This is a great chance to show them the love of Jesus.
The goal of Trunk of Treats 2010 is to distribute 1 ton (2,000 pounds) of candy in Jesus name. The first 1,000 pounds of candy has been committed, and it is up to us to gather the remaining 1,000 pounds. Join CRM to assist Pastor Grant in filling this community both physically and spiritually.

San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico: Extreme Home Makeover, ChildReach Style
This trip is all about building: homes, relationships, and hope. God willing, CRM plans to build at least one home on each trip made to San Luis and perform other construction tasks with your help. As a result of our labor, relationships will form with the families of the community and Pastor Enrique’s congregation at Iglesia Metodista de Mexico Templo. These relationships are crucial for God’s future plans of CRM’s involvement in San Luis.
The last component of this trip is laying the ground work for a faith-based after-school program in San Luis. Pastor Enrique is filled with hope and faith in the Lord, and we plan to help him fill the community with this spirit, starting with the children. We encourage you to pray over your involvement with this journey and join CRM in building up the San Luis Rio Colorado community.

Quito, Ecuador: No “Hocus Pocus”… Christ is our Focus!
Last, but not least, Nuevos Amigos Christian School (NACS) will be just over one month into their 2010-2011 school year when you arrive on October 23rd… And they will surely be ready to play! Your bags will be loaded for the flight down with school and carnival supplies, then after a few days of preparation you will host the fall Harvest Party for the students and staff of NACS!
The purpose of a Harvest Party is to show Jesus’ love to the children of NACS in a fun and loving manner. Our students are already familiar with the importance of having Christ in their lives, and this celebration is a chance to reinforce that message. This trip also serves as an opportunity for those involved with the Padrino’s sponsorship program to meet the children they have been compassionately corresponding with. Please prayerfully consider taking part in the work God has already laid before us at NACS.
